LAW OF THE LAND

Before joining The Sidhe, we ask that you look over these rules to make sure that you won't make drastic mistakes by accident. I know that there are a lot, but some should be common sense.

Part One - General rules
1. Respect. Everyone, everywhere. It's just that simple.
2. Use proper spelling and grammar when posting; the shoutbox can be chatspeak.
3. Public fighting is not to be tolerated; issues should be carried out over PM.
4. Stealing is the least honorable thing you can do; don't steal ANYTHING from ANYONE.
5. Signatures and avatars should not stretch the board; c'mon guys, common sense.

Part Two - In Character
1. The Sidhe is a one account per member site; do not create multiple accounts per character.
2. Yes, you can roleplay as ANY KNOWN SPECIES here. Huzzah! A pass must be bought for hybrids or mythical creatures.
3. You may have an unlimited number of characters FOR NOW. If the staff sees users abusing this privilege, it will be taken away and replaced with a character limit.
4. The Sidhe is an advanced roleplaying site, which means 300+ words per post. There is no maximum, but try and be considerate of extreme length. You're writing a post, not a novel.
5. Liquid time is permitted and your characters are allowed to be in as many threads at a time as you please.
6. Swearing is allowed anywhere except towards another member when it verges on bullying. Characters may swear towards each other.
7. No graphic breeding, please, or anything that could get ProBoards to shut us down. Include trigger warnings for things such as suicide, rape, PTSD, etc.
8. You must have permission of the other roleplayer involved before killing, maiming, and breeding are to occur.
9. Please try and post in the third person. This is not a requirement if you are adamant about first, but third is general.
10. You may not roleplay with a character until they are accepted or born.

Part Three - Out of Character
1. In addition to public fighting, -isms (race, sex, sexuality, etc.) will get you AUTOMATIC BANS from The Sidhe.
2. Be patient with staff members, as they have lives outside of The Sidhe.
3. Please do not advertise anywhere other than the advertising board. There is a line between discussing another site (e.g. "Hey Tom, there's a reply for you at this site") and promoting it (e.g. "Hey Tom, there's a reply for you at this site that everyone should join!)
4. If you plan to leave us for an extended period of time, please put something in the absence board so we know where our beloveds have gone.
5. You must be at least 13 years old to roleplay on ProBoards, but you must be at least 13 years old mentally to roleplay on The Sidhe. In other words, if you cannot respectfully handle topics like violence and sex this probably isn't the place for you.
